Who am I?

Amanda Deacon

Health History
Having led a reasonably healthy childhood when I reached my teens I had 6 operations, some minor and some more significant.

At 18 and during my A’Levels I underwent major Kidney Surgery and whilst I am now fully recovered I did have to adjust my career choice of becoming a fighter pilot!

At 26 I was diagnosed with Arthritis which required me to make life changes in order to prevent any serious disability. I had to address my work life balance in order to avoid being stressed and prolonged periods of inactivity, as these both result in immobility and pain. I have changed my diet and attend the gym 6 mornings a week to manage my arthritis and now live an active and rewarding life.

I am a passionate professional Coach who is enthusiastic and motivated about your success, here is a little about me.

Life Coaching Background and Training

With Curly Martin as my Mentor I have discovered the value and joy in Life Coaching.

Personal History
In my personal life I have been married and divorced, and am now in a wonderfully fulfilling relationship which gives me joy and love everyday.

I am very proud to be a Godmother to two beautiful girls who I love dearly and have hours of fun with.

I love the sea and having grown up sailing a boat I decided to roll out of it 10 years ago and explore life underwater. Scuba Diving is my passion and takes me around the world.

I love life, I love the potential and opportunity in life and sharing it with my clients creates value for us both notwithstanding the realisation of unrivalled success.

Career History
With the need to rethink my career options I was presented with an opportunity for choice on my path through life. I could either accept that I had poor A’ Level grades and go one way or I could do something about it and go another. Ever the optimist I looked for opportunity elsewhere and secured a job as a Trainee Accountant.

I excelled in my Accountancy career and qualified by 25, I then achieved my first Controllership by the age of 28. Having continued up the corporate career ladder I felt something was missing so when the opportunity of redundancy presented itself, I decided it was time to change direction.

As a corporate professional I achieved financial success and yet, personally I was unfulfilled. I wanted to make a positive difference to peoples’ lives; this is when I started on my new career path as a Professional Life Coach.
